Leak Detection & Repair

If you’ve ever stepped in a surprise puddle, found water spraying where it doesn’t belong, or gotten a letter from your utility company that your water usage is “higher than usual” you may have sprung a leak somewhere. Sometimes these can be right in line of sight. With the full length of pipes running through your home and yard, sometimes you need a professional to find the pesky pipe for you. Rely on Magnolia Plumbing for leak detection and leak repair.

Sometimes these leaks are only when actively using a faucet or flushing a toilet, but other leaks can be more constant.

If water is actively spraying/leaking into your home we highly recommend turning off the water to the area if you’re able to help minimize damage until a plumber can arrive. Toilets and faucets have valves that may turn off the water to that specific unit, or you may need to turn off the water to your home.

At Magnolia Plumbing Company we pride ourselves on our excellent service through great communication, diagnostic ability, and quality workmanship. We prioritize good communication and honest, up front pricing so we can foster relationships built on trust and reliability. Our team loves what we do and the community we serve, and we aim for that to shine through in every job. Most importantly, we will always put you and your home first. Call us now at 901-538-8000 to schedule.

DO I NEED LEAK DETECTION?

To put it simply, there i”looking for a leak” in a wall, at a toilet, or at a rusty hose spicket… then there’s electronic leak detection. There are companies that specialize in it. Any good plumber can track down a leak above ground. Sometimes it may require opening up some Sheetrock to get eyes on the plumbing. Actual electronic leak detection is different. Electronic leak detection is what may be necessary when there is an underground leak, you’re not sure where it is, and the goal is to go in to the ground and make a repair. It’s very common that electronic leak detection is not necessary, IF you have a great plumber taking charge of the project.

A good plumbing company, Magnolia Plumbing included, also knows how to do leak detection. We can streamline the process of locating and repairing the issue. If you have a mystery leak, give Magnolia Plumbing a call at 901-538-8000. We can guide you down the simplest path of restoring peace to your home.

DO I HAVE AN UNDERGROUND LEAK?

It’s common to have a leak go unnoticed underground for an extended timeframe. Catching it quickly can save you from stress, cost, and home damage. Here are a few symptoms of an underground leak:

  • The utility company calls or issues a notice stating you have a leak, but you don’t see a leak.
  • You hear a hissing or running water noise, but don’t see signs of it.
  • Your water bill is higher than normal
  • Your water usage continually rises.
  • Smart meter data on the utility company website shows abnormal water usage. This would include water usage showing for every measured interval. This would also include water usage overnight, or when the house is empty.
