If you’ve ever stepped in a surprise puddle, found water spraying where it doesn’t belong or gotten a letter from your utility company that your water usage is “higher than usual” you may have sprung a leak somewhere. Sometimes these can be right in line of sight but with the full length of pipes running through your home and yard, sometimes you need a professional to find the pesky pipe for you.

Sometimes these leaks are only when actively using a faucet or flushing a toilet, but other leaks can be more constant. If water is actively spraying/leaking into your home we highly recommend turning off the water to the area if you’re able in order to help minimize damage until a plumber can arrive. Toilets and faucets have valves that may turn off the water to that specific unit, or you may need to turn off the water to your home.
